The Jervois Road master suite was a generous, light-filled space with elevated views—an ideal foundation for a more refined and intimate transformation. The concept focused on reworking the layout to introduce a darker, moodier palette with updated carpet, paint, lighting, curtains, headboard, and furnishings. We explored ways to reconfigure the wardrobe to allow for more comfortable flow, while considering existing constraints like the switchboard and structural post that were immovable. In the ensuite, we looked at extending into the balcony space to accommodate a walk-in shower, all designed without glass to maintain a seamless, spa-like flow. Materiality and tone were guided by references to rich, masculine interiors with a sense of quiet luxury. Although the client did not progress into the build phase, we still enjoyed this project and re-imagining the space and its potential alongside the client.
