About Fremont Studio

I started Fremont Studio because I believe the homes we live in shape how we feel, every single day. Not just in the obvious ways, but in the details you absorb without thinking: the texture of a material underfoot, the weight of a door handle, the way a fabric catches the afternoon light. These are the things that make a house feel like somewhere you truly belong.

That belief is at the heart of every project I take on. I work with a small number of clients at a time, which means your home gets my full attention. From the first conversation through to the final styling. The details matter to me, because I know they're what you'll live with long after the project is finished.

"We favour materials that age beautifully, pieces that carry character, and details that bring depth without excess."

Based in Auckland, I work across residential renovation and new build projects across NZ.

If you're after a home that feels considered, personal, and entirely your own, I'd love to begin the conversation.

Our Ethos

Layering sits at the heart of our ethos. Texture upon texture. Old beside new. Softness balanced with structure. We favour materials that age beautifully, pieces that carry character, and details that bring depth without excess. The result is a home that feels collected rather than decorated, grounded, considered, and liveable.

Beauty and function move together, supporting the way you live.

We design homes that feel settled from the moment you step inside. Spaces with warmth, integrity, and a sense of ease that only deepens with time.

FAQs

  • The difference is in the result — and the journey getting there. A well-designed home doesn't just look beautiful; it feels right in ways that are hard to articulate until you're living in it. Proportions that work, materials that age gracefully, rooms that function the way your life actually does. We also bring access to trade-only suppliers, established relationships with trusted builders and trades, and the experience to make decisions with confidence — which means fewer costly mistakes and far less stress along the way.

  • Both. We work across full renovations and new builds from concept through to completion, and we're equally at home working on a single bathroom, kitchen, or bedroom. Some of our most satisfying projects have started with one room and grown from there. Whatever the scope, you'll get the same level of care and attention to detail.

  • It's where most clients begin. Either a quick phone call to discuss your requirements or booking our Designer for a Day service can help with clarity. This was created exactly for this moment — a focused session to work through your questions, clarify your direction, and give you the confidence to move forward. Many clients use it as a starting point before committing to a larger project. Others find it's all they need.

  • Every project is different, so we tailor the process to what your project needs. In general, we begin with a thorough discovery phase — getting to know you, your home, and how you live — before moving into concept, development, and implementation. We're collaborative throughout, and we keep you informed without overwhelming you with decisions that don't need your input. Get in touch and we'll send through our welcome guide with more detail.

  • Honestly and early. One of the most important conversations we have at the start of any project is about investment — what's realistic for what you want to achieve, where to prioritise, and where there's flexibility. We work with your budget rather than around it, and our access to trade pricing means your money often goes further than it would independently.
